Hello,
I just formated my Windows XP machine into a Windows Vista and im really impressed by everything this faar. On my XP computer the TV-out to my TV worked very well, but not in Windows Vista. When i boot up Windows Vista i get the BIOS / Dos-screen on my TV (everything seams to work!). I also get the "loading ......." screen on both my CRT and my TV. But when the login screen disapears my TV goes blank. And when i try to activate it in Display Properties it goes active, then 2 seconds after it goes inactive, but no image on the TV at all, totally blank. It just changes my main resolution to 800x600, and then nothing.
Vista has found my CRT as a PNP Generic Monitor. And my TV as a Non-PNP generic monitor. And in device manager everything seams fine.
I am using ATI's latest Vista Display Drivers.
Anyone has any idea whats going on? Its working in BIOS / DOS under startup so there is nothing wrong with the TV or the cable. Its also detected.
I am very happy with any kind of answers and tips!
Thanks alot!
Best regards,
Christopher

TV-OUT not working in Vista using ATI Radeon 9600XT
This is really a matter driver support under Vista, you need to contact the manufacturer about support for Windows Vista. Also file a driver request using the Feedback link on your desktop. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

I have an ATI Radeon 9700 and tried the Vista beta drivers. After major problems, I broke down and read the release notes - under "Known Issues" it says:
Connecting a TV using either the S-Video or composite connectors may result in extended desktop mode failing to be applied under the 32 bit version of the Windows Vista operating system
There are a bunch of other issues - you may want to check them out.
